Employee absenteeism
An old fashioned way of organizing time schedules, still generalized in the traditional model of business management, does not favour the reduction of the employee absenteeism phenomenon, which has become an authentic headache for company managers.
This complex phenomenon can also be seen as a symptom of other problems faced by the organization in different scopes such as labour, organizational, communicational, adjustment to processes; which reduce the competitiveness of companies and increases their production costs. The deepening in the knowledge of the causes of absenteeism, and not exclusively its control, supposes an opportunity of a rate reduction and a decrease on the direct, indirect and opportunity costs of the organization.
Almenara´s Programme uses a systematic and integral approach that tries to figure out which are the causes that originate the absenteeism and what are the costs generated for the organization. Using formulas for the improvement of the labour climate and worker's participation, an intervention is done to reduce absenteeism and to prevent it. |
